I became a Trustee of SAVTE at the beginning of 2023.
I’ve been involved as a volunteer teacher with SAVTE since 2016 in a variety of scenarios including 1-to-1 teaching in a learner’s home, a group of learners in a classroom and even helping with conversation groups on Zoom during the COVID lockdown.
Most of my career in computer software development and sales in Sheffield, including a number of years lecturing in Computer Studies at Sheffield Hallam University.
I’m deeply committed to the work SAVTE does and feel privileged to be a member of the Board of Trustees. I’m looking forward to helping SAVTE to develop and grow its role in language provision while continuing as a volunteer teacher of course!
