Following the recent far-right violence seen across the UK, we want to say that SAVTE stands in solidarity with everyone affected, many of whom came to the UK seeking sanctuary, having fled violence and persecution. We continue to work alongside our community to promote integration and support those at risk.
We are also working together with communities and organisations across the city to ensure that Sheffield is a safe and welcoming place for everyone. We strongly believe that our political leaders should prioritise communities and address the issues which have fuelled the violence and dehumanising rhetoric.
These recent events do not reflect the majority of our country or our city. We are proud to welcome and work with people of all communities, and we stand together, hopeful of a better future.
