I first joined SAVTE as a 1:1 tutor in 2009, whilst studying at Sheffield University.

From there I moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina for five years where I taught English. On my return to the UK, I worked on the refugee resettlement programmes delivered by the Refugee Council.

I am now very happy to be part of the team at SAVTE where I assess new learners and train volunteers to teach them English.

I love SAVTE because of its power to reach reaching learners who are unable to easily attend English classes.

Whether it is 1:1 ESOL tutoring, language buddying or a group class, the impact of connecting with other people cannot be overstated!
