I’m a former Civil Servant with experience of working in several Government departments.
Most recently I had day to day responsibility for the Business Department’s relationship with the Third Sector.
Previous roles include advising on employment rights and contract law, developing national vocational education and training policy, leading a parliamentary business team, speech writing, and providing help for small businesses to grow.
In my spare time I’m interested in current affairs, keeping fit, music (both listening and performing), and I’m an active campaigner on local environmental issues.
I’m passionate about teaching ESOL and English language development because it helps refugees and asylum seekers to gain confidence and to integrate. My main focus on the SAVTE board is to represent the volunteer perspective.
