English Skills My Health at Darnall Wellbeing, Darnall, S9 4QH

Entry level 2 ESOL, 8 week programme focused on the topic of health. 

Wednesdays 12.30-2.30 from January 21st.

You will learn about

  • How to speak confidently about your health and wellbeing
  • Contacting health services 
  • Speaking in appointments – giving information and asking questions.

The tutor will work with you to develop all your English Skills. There is homework to complete each week.

English Skills  My Life/My Community/My Future 

Entry level 2-3 ESOL, 8-10 week programmes at Sheffield Cathedral, Burngreave Library and Sharrow Community Forum

You will learn about:

  • How to speak confidently about yourself, your skills and your interests.

  • How to read information and write about yourself, your skills, experience and future plans.

  • Other English activities, learning opportunities and employment support to help you make progress.

  • Using your IT skills to improve your English.

  • We will help you find your next steps.

 

SAVTE ESOL class:  ‘English Skills – Ready for Work’ starts APRIL 2026

You will learn about:  

Finding employment or volunteering opportunities.

Writing applications and developing your CV.

Speaking skills for job interviews.

 

Please note that all our  classes are not accredited, so there are no exams or qualifications. You will receive a certificate at the end to show  you have completed the course.

  • The minimum level to join our ESOL classes is Entry level 2, and the English Skills – Ready for Work programme is Entry level 3.  You will need to come to an assessment session, and we will assess if this is the right class for you.
  • Classes are 8 or 10 weeks long, 2 hours per week, with lots of additional learning activities to do at home.
