This Privacy Statement describes the information that we collect from or about you, how we use the information and who we share that information with.
What information do we collect and why do we collect it?
SAVTE collects and retains information on volunteers that allows us to contact you about our volunteering opportunities and events.
We also collect and retain information that helps us to manage our volunteer training programme and assess its reach and impact. This might include details such as your age or ethnicity, or a record of any volunteering time that you have completed with us.
We may also retain certain information you’ve shared with us about your health. This information helps us ensure that our volunteer training course and the volunteering opportunities we offer you are suitable.
If you are claiming expenses we may require your bank details in order to reimburse you.
You will always be asked directly for personal information and we will always let you know how the information will be used.
Who do we share your personal information with?
We do not share your personal information with any other organisations without your express consent.
Sometimes funders ask that we share information about our volunteer programme. Any data shared would always be anonymised and would refer to overall volunteering statistics, not to individuals.
How is your information protected?
We endeavour to keep your information safe, secure and accurate. Procedures and policies are designed to protect your information from loss and unauthorised access, copying, use, modification or disclosure.
How long is your information retained?
We only retain your information for as long as necessary i.e. while it is being used for the purpose it was collected.

In the event that we cannot provide you with access to your information, we will endeavour to inform you of the reasons why subject to any legal or regulatory restrictions.
