I was pleased to join SAVTE’s trustee board in December 2022. I have known about SAVTE for many years and am impressed by its work to support the learning of English, especially through connecting people at the community level.
I have lots of experience in community work – professionally as a community group facilitator and community-based researcher, and personally as an activist. I hope I can contribute some of this knowledge to SAVTE’s future, helping it to continue and develop its unique role in Sheffield and beyond.
