English Advice Volunteer

This role is suitable for people with Entry 3 level English & above.

The aim of this volunteer role is to provide guidance to people on joining English language classes and education opportunities available in Sheffield. This will include signposting to SAVTE provision and other English classes. This support is offered in collaboration with SPRING partners at the Victoria Hall Drop-In sessions which take place every Wednesday from 13:00 to 16:00h.

Volunteering in this role includes researching and/or using information provided by the SAVTE and SPRING partners to signpost people to support that is right for them. This will involve a few hours a week of preparation and running an information desk at the Victoria Hall Drop-In. It might also include setting up and managing a table or stall at relevant events in the city of Sheffield as need arises. 

This is a fantastic volunteering opportunity for someone who is new to volunteering and wants to volunteer in their community, meet new people, and get experience and training.
