I have been a SAVTE board member since December 2014, having previously worked for SAVTE as a learning champion.
It was during this employment that I recognised SAVTE as an organisation that shared my own values in particular its commitment to social justice.
In my previous career I have worked in different education roles and settings giving me a broad understanding of the value of education in a range of contexts.
Most recently, I completed a PhD exploring information sharing in ESOL classes in 2017 and am now working as a researcher at the University of Leeds.
My research interests centre on the intersections of migration, education and information, all of which resonate with SAVTE’s work.
